Organisational structure of the project "specification of a research core dataset"
The project management is composed by the project coordinator and the heads of the four working groups. The members of the project management meet on a regular basis to document progress of the project and to agree on fundamental decisions.
The working groups are each composed of up to eight experts. Of particular relevance is the inclusion and representation of expertise from the scientific community, politics and business. The selection criteria are based on the recommendations for the specification of a research core dataset by the German Council of Science and Humanities. The criteria include practical expertise regarding the collection and use of information on research activities, information on technological expertise in the areas of data modelling and (research) information systems as well as expertise in the implementation of such systems. This approach ensures that the practical requirements for the implementation of the recommendations in universities and research institutions are adequately taken into account.
Further, the German Council of Science and Humanities has convened a working group that acts as an advisory board to the project.
